Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, is a growing city located northeast of Madison. With a population of around 36,000, it’s a popular suburban community with a unique history and a strong identity. Sun Prairie has long been known for its agricultural roots and is home to the annual Sweet Corn Festival, which attracts more than 100,000 visitors each year. The city is also famous for its unofficial mascot, Jimmy the Groundhog, who predicts the coming of spring every February 2nd in a celebration that has earned Sun Prairie the title of “Groundhog Day Capital of the World”.
